One of my favorite targets, big, bright and easy to find. Started shooting it last year without a filter, without a guider or a focusing aid. Racked up 300 one minute exposures over two nights. Then combined that data with 69 5 minute exposures taken this past weekend through my LPR filter and using my trusty mask. Maxim lined up all the frames and the rest just all came together. Hope you all like. Hopp, thanks for taking a look. Still not "done", but thought I'd share.

69 x 5 min (filtered)
300 x 1 min (unfiltered, unguided and "eyeballed" focused)
Total exposure time over 10.5 hours.

Thanks Robert, the image came out pretty well, but I am really happy you all seem to dig it! I credit the capture of the Ha regions to the filter. The older data barely showed them, but the newer data with the filter really seemed to pop.

Thanks Mark! I was just talking to Marc about this image. I just posted it like yesterday or the day before and have already created like another dozen variations. I tell ya processing is like a sickness, and addiction if you will. Here is the latest version....(Basti put a gun to my head and told me to HLVG and add some noise).

You should be proud, you have a nice image here. 10 is sick! Your stars are tight and the nebulous regions are popping out! Excellent work Trev!

Thanks guys! I am kinda proud of it. Still playing with it. Want to go back to scratch and re-combine the images but may wait until I add more time. Thanks for taking a look and commenting! Means a lot that you guys like it.

Thanks Spike and Hopp! Spike that is high praise coming from you with some of the planetary stuff you have been posting. I appreciate it.

Hopp, already like 2 versions further along, lol! Think I am definately going to try and add some more time, and/or at the very least recombine. Maybe do the 1min and 5 mins seperate and then sum. Dunno...I think there is gold in them their hills, just gotta learn how to get it out!
