Sure will Marc. I'm roaming to find some of those as well as checking classifieds and OPT and others for apos. Also, waiting for tax time to see if good news or bad - and how much one way or the other. Hope your weather is better than this stuff. About 10" on the ground now - guess I'm a bit early hoping for spring.

Dans is the only site I saw that just sold the top plate stuff for diy. I saw a poss. in England but like what you deal w/for getting stuff in US all the x-tra fees involved in getting it mailed is sometimes cost prohibitive. I have access to some free metal and a welder at costs, but still need the top plate w/adapter. David if you happen to run across any other sites could you let me know. Thanks, Marc

90s subs with 60 exp. Yes, serious dollars is right. I checked a site called Dan's pier mounts - You can get the bottom plate and individual adapter plates - both for under $300. Seems much more reasonable. I haven't yet. I think in order of priority, my D1000 is currently being modified. Once that's done and I pay for it, I'm going to try what I have and see what comes next. I may go for a smaller apo depending on fov with the Canon. I'd be happy with results like yours. The pier will be last on my list and only if I'm getting a lot of vibration and lack of room. I doubt this year. May stop after the modification and give everything a try for this year, so I don't buy gear I really don't need then have to sell it.

Like the detail. How much exposure time? Are/did you get a pier? Started checking out different options and man serious $. Probably only going to be able to afford the mounting head and the rest will be diy. Marc

Thanks Jeff, a relatively easy one to image.
