This Nebula is what got me into Astrophotography. I remember the first time I held my Canon Powershot into the eyepiece of my 4.5" Orion Dob and captured a 15" exposure of the Orion Nebula. Unsurprisingly it looked like a blurry purple blob, but after that I was HOOKED.

This image has a number of issues, bad guiding, poor contrast, noise, but I am still happy with it lol.

Very nice shot Trevor. I love M42 but it also makes me sad, a sign that summer is over... or almost :(
