Thanks Trev,
I was looking for some small galaxies to test the limits of the new setup and Delphinius was in a good area of the sky. I used MS World Wide Telescope to check whats around and found a couple of neat looking ones. This guy measures in around 2' x 1.9' and mag 12.9.
Wow, Kevin, tal about a difficult object...I was seaching the web to find out how far the object is away....all I could find it that it is very small and hard to view because of that star sitting right next to it. Talk about faint fuzzies....and a little one to boot. Well done on this. Impressed you found this little guy elt alone images it.
Thanks Charles.
It sure makes one appreciate the night sky when you haven't been able to get out in awhile :)
This was also the first shot I took with a DSI Pro III. I was going to buy an ATIK 314L+ but a friend of mine that sells scopes had the DSI sitting in the back of his shop, brand new in the box.I asked him what he wanted for it and after getting a great price I couldn't turn it down! It uses the same chip as the 314, though I do realize the electronics aren't as clean as ATIK's and of course there's no active cooling, but the price it was just to nice to pass up.
nice!! I finally got out last night for first time in a while as well. Felt good to be focused on getting a good shot again to be sure.
