Wow, they really are accentuated in that green channel. I wouldn't have thought polygonal filters would have caused artefacts like this. That's interesting.

On an unrelated note, have you had the chance to try out any of those new generation SBIG cameras? They've got some nice specs for the price, and that OAG for the ST-i is so very tempting. What do you think yourself?

The artifacts are most interesting Conor. Not sure what the cause is but I suspect corners in the filter wheel pockets.

I had a large rectangular sensor illuminated through square filters all behind a field flattener in the AP155

That's a pretty incredible shot, Richard, as always. 15 hours is sheer dedication!

What are those artefacts around Alnitak? Are there microlenses in your setup somewhere?
