M78 RGB from FSQ106(old style) and PL3200 with Atlas
this is 75 x 5 minutes: 35 Green, 22 Blue, 18 Red. the numbers were not chosen with any particular number in mind, it is what worked out being captured as limited by sunrise and start-time.
The FSQ106 was the old Fluorite type from the late 1990s. The Atlas is the way to go when it comes to using the FSQ.

Actually, a Philadelphia guy, but traded it for island living 7 years ago. Island of Oahu, the same island as Honolulu and Pearl Harbor.
Alaska, non-stop flight, yeah, that would be quicker. I guess your company can afford the direct route, huh? Still a long flight. I don't envy you my friend. I have to fly to the outer islands couple days a month. Just a small cog in the great wheel, but they have me going all over....but those are just puddle jumps compared to what you have to got through...hope they at least spring for first class, lol!

Wow Trevor: a Hawaii guy... which island?
Must be awesome skies over there with phenomenal seeing over the Pacific.
Flying from SFO to TPE (Taipei, Taiwan) one takes the Great Circle route or something close to it. That means we fly south of the Aleutians: we are much further north than Hawaii. If we were to fly across Hawaii, we'd be adding a LOT of distance to the flight. You need to grab a globe to see what I mean though....
In the past 12 weeks I've been in Asia for 8 of them and on domestic travel one of the 12. I have been to Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan on those trips.
Such is the life of a busy CTO of a Silicon Valley semiconductor technology company :-(

I would just be a stop over on that trip. I am in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. So odds are you either change planes here, or just fly over. That is a lot of travelmy friend, must rack up crazy frequent flyer miles ;)

I go to Taiwan at least one week per month and sometimes make two such trips per month.
I'm in the SF Bay area (silicon valley) during the week and at my ranch in the Sierra on weekends when I am home.

is it cold where you are camping? are you doing astroimaging there or is there some other reason you are camping in winter (maybe hunting?)...
