Yeah, the weather sucks big time. Supposed to get another 10-15 on Sunday. At least this melted. Longggggg winter. Good luck with the polar alignment. I'm sure you'll do fine. Lot's of people sick at the astronomy mtg last night. Did another article for the March-Apr edition. Must be really bored with too much time on my hands!!

I saw you did an article in the RASC NIagara newsletter, very cool! I hear ya on the weather. One more month and then we'll be okay! I am going to attempt to due my first polar alignment this Saturday, wish me luck!

By the time I get out, I'll forget everything I learned last year. 10" of snow due Sunday. Need to move to Arizona.

Hi Trevor,

Yeah, thanks, thought it was not bad either. One of the one's I forgot to process. This was with the 80mm apo and the DSLR unmodified, but using my new 2" bayonet mount - eliminates about 95% of the vignetting since you don't need a T ring adapter. Dying to get out but waiting until a cover gets here and we get past March 17 or so - the usual last big snow. Then between mid March and April 4 or so when it usually snows I'm taking everything out. Have a million things to try - going to an astronomy meeting tonight so have to get some overheads ready and finishing up an article for the newsletter.
