What I use for doing the planets is my LPI , my DSI isn't made for that

BTW like you looking at the heavens started with the planets for me at a young age but imaging them only started a year ago, what a great thrill to be able to image Jupiter and four of its moons. The first time I got a shot of Uranus I did a little dance but my first shot of the moon, well lets just say I was over the moon.

Great idea Spike, I have spent a great deal of time imaging the moon afocally which I have come to discover is a great method, I was somewhat forced to image this way due to my lens being attached to my Sony F-828. Recently I started using a SPC900NC webcam to shoot Saturn, I was out last night again working on the settings but I still cannot get a nice clear shot like the others I have seen taken with the same camera and set up as mine, there is something I am missing, not sure what though

i no that there are not as many solar system guys on here as there is deep space guys but i do see a few people posting some great images of saturn and jupiter and moon venus mercury and im sure we all have differnt techs i hope to hear some of approaches u guys are taken to capture these realitives of ours my self i could shoot what ever planet was up each night im out thats how much i love it and the reason i bought my first scope so hopefully through this lil group we can all improve a lil !!
