Tricks: If the mount suddenly acts weird..the 1st slew is way off, or it doesn't work like it did? Do a factory reset on handset. Re-enter GPS coordinates...Fixed 90% of time!
Starhopper , this little gem saved my night . THanks !
Trick : A wise man ( starhopper ) once told me to set up in the same place , so I came up with an idea for just that from stuff that was just laying around the house .3 12 x 12 pavers 3 5/8 flat washers and a dab of JB WELD
I waited for a night when I knew I had a good alignment ( make sure you have plenty of adjustment both ways in your azimuth screws ) and marked the pavers with a felt marker .What I have found is that the time it takes me to align my mount has decreaced , and the lenght of time of my exsposures have increased. This is a simple CHEAP way to get more form your mount almost instantly . In fact , I was going to buy the polar scope for my mount , but have decided it would be unnecessary .
