Derek, I didn't realize gradients would cause an overlap issue (visible seam). I figured you could blend the 2 pics (making sure the backgrounds are as equal as possible) then run grad x to clean up any differences on either side of the overlap. That's good to know-Thank you for the info, Marc

Hello Derek, I have a question regarding mosaics I was hoping you could answer. I'm making my 1st attempt w/a 2 panel of ic1848 out of necessity (80mmFl560f7,doesn't fit),I did want to try one anyways now that the sky choices are getting limited (because of my view). Anyways I shot 3+hrs last night (sbig st8300m, 7nm Ha) of 1/2 and I'm shooting 2nd part tonight.I left @least a 1/3 of overlap and got things pretty well aligned (we'll see lol, I'm a totally manual setup). My question is I shot @-22c last night and we had a bit of a warm up here in Mass. and I had to shoot at -15c tonight is that going to be a problem getting the backgrounds to blend? Haven't done much research on the whole thing, I'm just getting the data while I can, then figure it all out later (when it's raining lol) Derek thanks, Marc

Hi Derek, Yea, the skies are pretty good here. Lucky I guess. Bortle class three and sometimes two when conditions are good. That makes things much easier, especially for old school film work. Thanks for chiming in.
