First attempt at imaging Saturn. There was haze in the air, frost on my collector plate, and it was very turbulant... but it was somewhat clear and I've been dying to get out and try imaging this. The next one will be much better... I hope :)

Nice to see Saturn is still working it's magic :) For myself, my story takes place nearly 30 years ago, and I still love the hobby as much now as I did then.
My daughter is 2 1/2 and she already knows and loves looking at Jupiter and the moon through my scope, I can't wait to show her Saturn :)

Louie,
Funny you say that.... when I was about 12 or so my grade 7 science teacher had a homemade 13" dob. After seeing how excited I was about the astronomy section that was taught in school, he invited me over one evening to look through the scope. The first thing he showed me was M13, but the next was Saturn... and I can remember that moment like it was yesterday! It too set my life long love for astronomy... it was, and still is, one of the most magical things I've ever seen.

Thanks :) We've had a colder than normal past month or so here, and it was the first semi-decent night so I didn't want to waste it... I've only taken the scope out twice all winter and I'm getting antsy to get out.
