I picked up a new scope last week at decided to give it a try with Saturn.
Best 40 frames of just over 3000.
Meade 12" SCT on a CGE Pro, Canon XSi using a 2x barlow.

Thanks, and I already have a 6.3 on order... should be here soon I hope :) I actually ordered it for the 925 about a month ago!
The whole reason I got the 12" was to hunt for the galaxies, now I just need some dark skies :)

Thanks. I want to keep trying for that perfect shot... still a little soft :) I like the shadow as well, adds a nice 3D sort of effect... and you can just get a hint of shadow from the rings on the planet as well (left, upper)
I picked up the scope used, it's an older LX200 (not ACF) though I may buy that new coma corrector from Starizona... sounds pretty interesting. I guess I could have clarified that it was new for me, not new :) I already had the CGE Pro... bought it last year along with the C925. I saw the 12" listed for a decent price and decided to buy it as I've been wanting a bigger scope for awhile :)

nice saturn kevin nice color and i like the lil shadow of the planet on the rings left side
