I did use darks and flats with this image, but unfortunately right before the flats were taken I accidentally rotated the camera (wasn't thinking) and though I tried to line it up in the same position as before I'm sure I was off a bit. I'm also trying to determine what I should do for darks... take a group of them near the end of the night, or use the Canon auto dark feature. The biggest problem with the auto dark is it essentially doubles the imaging time :( but it does produce nice results, and up here during the summer there isn't much night to begin with.... June is pretty much a write off :(

Thanks Spike, alas however the big ol scope is no longer in existance :( The mirrors were sold the other day, mount was giving to a friend of mine and the tube is on it's way to old telescope tube heaven... in turn I bought a 12" Meade SCT that should be arriving in about a week or so :)
