Thanks Dave! Sad thing is, if you blow it up, closer to 100% it gets ugly real fast. Did I over process, or does it just need more exp time? I dunno...I think I will try to add more time and see what that does. Thanks for the comment!

Hi, Mick,

Thanks for taking the time to take a look and commenting. To answer your question, sparingly. Maxim has some very powerful tools, most of which I do not know how to use correctly. It does allow me to image and guide from the same program. It also allows me to easily "program" my imaging session. And of course the DDP function is, in my opinion, a very powerful tool capable of teasing out some very subtle details. So that is about it....acquisition, calibration, color convert, stack, ddp and then out to CS2.

I like M16. I only imaged it myself a little while ago as it barely crawls into my field of view being so low. Shame.

This is a nice rendition. That bright centre is like an illuminated cave - it has a 3D quality. Nice one!

I see you use DDP in Maxim. I have found that can blowout detail. I would be interested in how you use it.

lol, honestly, these are some of the best I have done...and I have no idea how I did it! With the Mosaic...is it the alignment that is the issue? Are you aligning it raw or processed? I did it raw, chaeted using microsoft with the only real difficulty coming with the 102mm M20 and the 70mm M20. Those two frames were a bit problematic as that last 70mm panel was poorly shot.

We're all our own worst critics, those stars look good. The color is there, if you want more maybe Carboni, saturation or match color. Marc PS I'm still making a mess out of that mosaic lol.

Thanks brother, I appreciate your commenting. Yeah, when I saw the sale I could not pass it up. How yuo like the stars? Getting a bit more Basti-esque? I'm trying. You know any trick to really bring out the color in them?

Beauty, I second that on the detail. 999 you're killing me- that scope is nice. Marc

Thanks Steve. Honestly...I love it! Admittedly I am not a scope slut...i.e. I have not owned and/or used as many different types and sizes of scopes as most people here have, but this is hands down the best scope I have ever looked through or used before. It is as simple as that. Any flaws that are visible in my work are due to human error and not this scope. Mark Sibole has done a lot of work through one of these and it is breathtaking. Great scope. To add insult to injury, I got it cheap. OPT carries the scope for 1199. It used to be 1599. I bought mine for 999...a freakin' steal for an ed triplet. Like I have always said...better to be lucky than good ;)

Nice job Trevor, you lucky bum getting good weather and all. How do you like the ES 102mm? It seems to serve you well.
