My first ever astrophoto. Taken on October 30, 2009.
Nikon d40
SkyWatcher 8" SCT
CG-5 mount
I think it was about 140 jpeg images stacked in Registax and processed with GIMP.
(I have not been able to good a shot like this since...)

That's a great shot of Jupiter Steve. I've tried shooting it myself a few times and I can tell you the biggest thing for good quality shots is the turbulance, or lack of. Steady skies are key for good planet shots.
