Trifid Nebula
This is a small improvement over the version I did a year ago with the same equipment. Still not great, due to the low elevation (18 to 20 degrees above the horizon), but until I can take a trip to the south this will have to do!

PS can do anything! OK, programs like PixInsight may be better for astro-image processing, but I've been using PS since Windows 3 and I'm too old to learn another complicated set of tools. Thanks!

Impressive PS work. Goes to show that even PS with good data can pull out the dust lanes.

I do calibration, alignment, and stacking in MaxIm DL. The rest is all Photoshop, including Noel Carboni's tools and the Noise Ninja plug-in. Sometimes I will use other filters in MaxIm, but usually not.

I'm sitting just above the 35th myself but I have trees to my south which block my view except for a small window in the south east. I'm lucky to get an hour of time on anything in this region of the sky or lower.
Still yours is nicely done. What processing software are you using these days?

Thanks, guys. I'm between 45 and 46 degrees north, so am always wanting to get farther south - especially in the Winter!
