Reprocess of my earlier shot. Tried a few new ideas to enhance colors and contrast. Hopefully I didn't overprocess it though.

Thanks, I was also trying to keep the core down and bring out the rest of the structure. It's funny but increasing the vibrance and saturation also brought out some "detail" in the dark band... hard to see in this image but it's there. I always found my images with the XSi to be a little... flat, nearly black and white and thought this was just how life was, but I came across a tutorial online about enhancing color and I've been very surprised that I had this data just laying there, sort of dormant.
