tonight 12/27/2010
Clear Skies and good visibility. Have to clear the way so the telescope can wheel out to my deck but it's dusk and I'm pounding food and will get on it. YOOO... I'll be telescoping in an hour or so with NO WORK tomorrow. Visibility is fantastic right now and no wind or even a breeze, perhaps a faint object if I have the patience to drift align.

Tonight I drift aligned, held position for two minutes so I decided to lock it down and shoot. Going after M1 for a few hours then it hits zenith and I'm done, just then M51 comes into view and I'd love to get a decent shot of that.
Tonight will be my last telescope night on my tripod I think. Looks like clouds for a few weeks and I should be getting a pier next week, so...
I'll post whatever I get out of these shots.
