Will ride my bike home today from work, and begin ripping out the part of the deck covering where the pier will be installed. Have my cement, etc all ready to go. Not exactly sure how I'm going to do this but hope I see good ideas once I rip up the deck.

Steve, the adapter is from Wayne as Skyshedpod. The problem is he likes a manufacturers in England to make them, and they had an explosion in their complex and forced to shut down, sounded dramatic and kind of made me scared about the engineering firm next to my company! LOL. Anyway, should be showing up soon.

Installation of the pier is gonna be a little bit more difficult for me because I'm on a hill, not a severe slope but the one foot retaining wall is literally just where I want to put it. So I'm gonna dig a hole, and cement it up into rebarred cinder blocks up into the bottom of the deck, then put the pier and then cut a hole in the deck and seal it all up. Then put weather resistant particle board of some sort, and then rubber matting on top, and then the pod on top of all that. Gonna be some work, but minor compared to what I just did in my house! LOL

You are still waiting on the adapter, right? Think I recall you mentioning that. When is that due to arrive?
