SUN4 Scotts SHORT

"That's a pressure tuned Lunt 60 Nick. I used Richard Unger's LS60 Tilt tuned version for a few weeks, which had many faults with it. The view was pretty awesome though."

"Holy Cow, well done Nick. Excellent photo. So many stars, sigh I wish I could ever visit a dark sky."

"Looks to be about 5" or so. There are plenty with larger aperture (ISTAR brand for example, 7, 8 or 9 inch refractors) but they tend to be only Achromatic, with plenty of false color."

"Looks to be a Meade RCX400 16". They were a mechanical / electronic and commercial disaster and were quickly discontinued."

"It's lens flare mate, not the actual Solar Corona. Simply scattered light in your lens system."

"Actually Nick I believe it's to keep the hot Sun off them so that they cool faster for the evening observing. The humidity is lower in the daytime."
