Newer Guide Train

Well I played around with the guide scope model long enough. The WO Petzval is a nice little scope, but I couldn't get the flexion out of the system (in time). I started playing with using a third guide ring on the focuser and had some success (this will work), but not until I had way too many frustrations.

New Guide Train

I bought a Meade DSI Pro mono and a William Optics 66mm Petzval scope along with some 90mm Losmandy guide scope rings all off of A-Mart. I've reduced the size and weight of my rig and my first test run of the guide train last Sunday/Monday was very successful, I think. The wind was so strong that I had bad star shapes and the PHD graph looked like my EKG the last time my wife said "I'm pregnant". Need more clear skies for testing!

Bill, thought you might know. In Neb2 after I finish taking a capture sequence of subs, say 3,5, x# is there any way to view them (they are saved in fit format), quickly before starting the next capture sequence. Thanks, Marc
