due to the wind the night before I rigged up a proof of concept for an observatory (funny though that night would be ruined by dew. i need some dew straps and heaters

i finally got dew straps now. If i can get that kind of setup going again it would be awesome. I now have a storage unit that i can put the parts in when not in use as well. I'm really probably just going to get an observatory tent, the problem is stuffing it in the car. Tents roll up so that's the way to go.

I've been skunked out at dark sky star parties with perfectly clear skies... but strong wind killing any imaging or observing. It can be frustrating. I built a semi-circle wind block that works very well for about $70. http://astrogab.ning.com/photo/bigdobr200ss-1
