the dome is operating after weeks of assembly. Setting it up, new pier, epic mount, pretty good optical tube, new rotator and ccd. Going to fiddle with software tonight, maybe play with alignment. Game on!!!

thanks Conor, I'm still waiting to have clear skies. Fog looks ominious though, last two years it lasted six months. La Nina ocean currents cause colder water producing the fog, the water is warming up though so perhaps the fog will go away and la nina currents will stop which would be on schedule. Hoping so.

You take 8" off that pier and you'll be laying on the floor.....

Pier is 8 inches too high. Guy who built the pier didn't dig to specs, I'll have to trade my pier in for a shorter one, but no rush, this will be fine for now.
