I re-shot the H-Alpha for this, 5 hours unbinned (15x20 min. subframes). OIII is left as in the old picture - 200 min unbbined. The green channel is synthetic per S. Cannistra technique. All was shot through Celestron NS11XLT in Hyperstar configuration at F/2.

Thank you, Marc. I think I really am sold on the whole idea of monochrome vs. OSC. If only they would make those new mono Sony chips a little cheaper. Sigh...
Ian, that Ha gave this pic a good detail boost-cool. Marc
Good! I really am thinking about moving to monochrome camera, though. The only thing (besides the cost!) is to make sure that the pixels are small enough, like the new Sony IX460- based cameras...
The reason I asked is because I shot this with my C-11 Hyperstar and a Canon 450D modified. They look similar. :)
I'm using the QHY10. I know, one-shot color... not perfect, that's why I had to use 20 min. long sub-frames on H-Alpha.
What camera are you using on that Hyperstar Ian?
