I did my best to get it all together for a simple Ha , OIII , OIII and then did a little crop , id say Autopano did a good job with what I fed it.
The OIII for the middle panel wasnt quite as clean as the others but itll have to do for now.
I tried to have all three shots open as Ha and then OIII in PS to balance them against each other and it wasnt really as simple as it sounds.
I made False RGB panels then had Autopano assemble them for me but I had to take it back to PS to balance it a bit more after.
I really have a new found respect for the likes of Gendler and Rogelio for the giant mosaics done by hand.
30 10minOIII subs(NA area) , 22 10minHa subs(middle) , 25 10minHa subs(Sadr area) with 6nm Ha filter, 30 10minHa subs(NA area) , 22 10minHa subs(middle) , 25 10minHa subs(Sadr area) with 6nm Ha filter at ISO 1600 stacked in DSS then adjusted in PS CS2. Canon 500D(modded) , Orion Atlas mount and the lens was the Nikon 180ED @ f/2.8 and a 7x40mm finder as a guide scope.

Amazing Mosaic! Such wonderful detail. Well done.
Fantastc Erik. That is the hard part with the mosaics, trying to get them all to balance. Helps when you shoot them under the same conditions....I usually try to stitch them right after stacking, that way all the tweaking is done together....helps but sometimes the cpu has a hard time working wth such large files.
Well done here.
Thanks Steve
Ya its been a multi year project and im not sure ill finish it this season so the project goes on :)
Excellent work on this project Erik. You put an insane amount of time in this and your efforts have paid off! There is a lot of work that can be done with a DSLR.
Thanks Trevor.
Wow that is unbelievable! I have always wanted to do a wide-field mosiac like this. Beautiful!
