I thought I would share a crop of my RhoOph image that features the globulars and processing that preserves their individual stars. The colours of the stars in these globulars are likely quite different, but intervening dust and glowing gas has altered their appearance.

The other observation I'd like to make is that (in my humble opinion) there is a good amount of detail here for an undersampled image (3.5"/pixel) taken through a 4" refractor! You'll see this better if you go to the slightly larger full-size image....
