Here is the final result of the webcam modification, it was not as simple as 123 and my Father in-law, Dave did a great job, all I did was buy some things and the paint, Dave did all the rest. Now all I need are some clear skies, never thought I would say that here in AZ. It has been a weird winter and still is but having said that moisture here is a good thing. I am looking forward to testing.

Hi George, thanks for your input, I am not sure were to get something like that or even how too hook it up. I have not even had the time to test the camera but I am looking forward to learning more about what you are suggesting, thanks, all the best, Phil

You can try to build peltier cooling in this box. This will generally reduce your noise. There are really small peltier elements like 4x4mm that will fit rerfect for this chip.
