Sorry to be so cliche by posting the most photographed object in the sky but.....I have not been out to image since last year. Got three "clearish" nights in the past couple weeks and had to take what I could get...and one of those nights was the last full moon....with the moon just sitting a bit above Betelgeuse, but it was clear. Since I was trying to get back in the saddle, thought I'd hit something "easy". Even added the spikes for good measure.

Combination of crazy work hours with 3 projects. Disney, LeBron James and Exodus Film Group plus there is a forth on the way. Great to be busy and on the nights I can get out there are clouds and the nights when it is clear I am burried in work but all is good. We have had rain for the past 36 hours and when it clears the skies will be crystal clear so looking good to get out this week. Love the image BTW I am going to try the new gear out on Orion.
I am with you there brother, best to get out and do what you know best. I am in the same boat as you, I just have not been able to get out until last week. I have some new gear and the first place I went to to get familar, yep you guessed it, the MOON.
Thanks "T", good to be "back", lol!
Awesome to hear that you are imaging again!
Thanks Steve! Good advice, I will try my best!
M42 is difficult! Probably the most underappreciated (in regards to processing skills) target in AP. I would never take this target for granted. Your stars are perfect and you tamed the core very well! Find some clear skies already and get back in it!
Thanks guys! It was good....naw, it was great to get out shooting again. Figured since I was kind of starting over, I would go for an easy one! I still have a way to go to catch up with some of the masterpieces you guys have been posting. Give me some time to knock the rust off any we'll be all good.
He's back cool. Good job man, color/detail++. Marc
