This was done with 53 separate videos, each about a minute long. Registaxed 200 frames of each video, and stuck em in GIMP, made a gif.

Thanks guys... it reminds me of an old movie or something the way it's jiggling around like that.

How I did this in gimp. I kinda figured it out all on my own without googling it, so I'm not sure if i did it the "right" way. First I go to "File>Open as Layers" and open the first stacked frame. Bring up the layers window with "Windows>Dockable Dialogs>Layers". Then, I dragged in my next frame to the layers window, reduced transparency to about 50%, and manually align it with the first frame. Set the transparency back to 100% and drag the next frame in, reduce transparency, align, increase transparency, repeat... If you try to drag them all in at once, it just gets confusing and doesn't really seem to work right. I kinda just got lucky with this method, and don't really know an easier way yet.
