This was imaged from my parents house in Maine. I used the Nikon 180mm ED lens for the first time. It has been a while simce I imaged last and even in Maine I was limited in time because of clouds.

I imaged from Jay, the camp is in Canton (Oxford county). To get an image like this would have taken 4+ hours of integration time if imaged from Florida because of my light pollution. Thanks for commenting Marc. I've been playing with HDR imaging...here take a LOOK!!

That's a really nice pic, good job man. Must have been a treat having that dark sky- is that Jay or Oxford (thought you mentioned about going there). Marc

Thanks Philip and Trevor. The diffraction spikes are real. This was shot at f/4. I am quite happy with this lens.

Well done Steve...those diffraction spikes artificial or the real deal? Nice grab.

Not if you are doing AP! I am pretty psyched about this lens. This is the full uncropped field, if you pull in the corners there is "some" vignetting but I did not find it that offensive. There is an excellent write up on this lens that can be found here. Thanks for looking Hopp!!
