Hi Mark,

Photography is a hobby. My dad is great photographer & he introduced me to photography when I was a kid, so it's become part of my life. I need to update my profile with my new cameras. I'm planing to use my Canon 40DH for going out to take pictures to darker skies.

Regarding he Mak/Cass, I've very happy with it, but here are a couple of catches. If you ever need to take the dove tail out, the nuts of the bols are inside, so they fly out inside the scope when take the dove tail out which I had so could a modification with my setup. In order to reach them, I had to take the front mirror out, and the you discover that collimating a Mak/Cass is really hard. A friend of mine (Neil Heacock) had an artificial star, so we were able to collimate the scope again, but it was quite a pain. Another catch is that there is no motorize focuser for this scope, so you have to get one of those 2" crayford focusers that you can put in the back of the telescope which it's what I eventually did. Now, for being an F12 and shooting from a city, it's does a very nice job keeping the stars round, and pulling the colors. Another thing I like about this scope is how light it is which allows me to have triple scope setup on my HEQ5 Pro. I have the Mak (narrow-field), the WO (wide-field) and the ST80 for guiding, on my permanent set up..

Ooops! Thanks for the catch! You are totally correct. I did not correct the copy/paste of a previous description that I made for my bubble shot. I'll correct that now, and yes, I used a WO Lomo + TV 0.85 reducer FL: 380mm -. Thank you!
