NGC5792 is quite a beautiful spiral galaxy seen almost edge-on in the direction of the Constellation Libra, positioned at a distance of 83 Million Light-Years. This galaxy has a delicate and smooth elongated eliptical outer spiral arm which is actually the melding of two spiral arms emanating from the central bright region and joining in what appears to be a continuous ring around the galaxy. A bright red dwarf star along the edge of one of the outer spiral arms shines bright red at magnitude 9.6. There is very little information about NGC5792 found in the literature

Gorgeous image Tom! I love the way the core 'glows' and how the entire galaxy has a 3-D appearance. Very smooth and refined processing too.
