Hi Marc
The equipment is very seldom in the house. Mostly it lives in my mini-van (It's kind of like a rolling garage) LOL! I only bring it in if I need to carry more than 2 people in the van. I seperate it into 3 main parts, scope/scopes, tripod and equatorial head. The head and tripod each weigh approx 35lbs. I can usually have it pulled out, set-up and polar alligned in about 15mins.

Mark, how is it w/moving it in and out of the house (weight wise), separate or 1 piece?

Hi Conor, No Gemini on this one (plan on adding it hopefully in the near future). I love the mount and believe them to be one of the best values for your dollar. I also personally know 6 others in my local group that own them (all except for one have Gemini 1 or 2) and one has both a G-11 and a GM-8. They all love them

yeh it works well. Keeps the light in and as a bonus keeps the dew and frost off. Did not cost much to do either

Thanks Mark. No Gemini on this one...yet. I got a great deal on it used about 3 years ago. I plan to add the Gemini some time after my kids are done with university. The Konus really is a great scope. I am really suprised you do not see more of them around. Virtually the same as a Celestron C8N. Even though it is Synta the mirrors are very nice. Along with giving great deep sky performance this scope still puts up GREAT planetary views. And it does stick out in a crowd.

Thanks Marc, it's been getting the job done for me. It is all still pretty portable, so I can drag it out to darker skies. Wish they would clear!
