Well, other than the 80mm OTA piggy-backed to the scope, it's a stock set-up, so Celestron must have felt that the combo is a good match. The 80mm OTA is really very light, so it adds maybe 3 lbs. to the mix. The mount seems to handle it fairly well, although you can hear the drives working a little harder when slewing through some of its position angles, but so far I haven't had any concerns. The CG-5 totally whips the AT around like a gnat! No straining noises with that combo. The main complaint I have about the C6/CG-5 combo is that the OTA is so long it is easy to have it run up against the GPS or the hand controller when slewing to objects near the zenith, which wrecks havoc on your alignment and can be really annoying. The mount can sense the position of the legs and move around those, but it has no idea where your accessories attach and so it is not uncommon to have a mishap if you are not really careful.
