M78 RGB from FSQ106(old style) and PL3200 with Atlas

this is 75 x 5 minutes: 35 Green, 22 Blue, 18 Red. the numbers were not chosen with any particular number in mind, it is what worked out being captured as limited by sunrise and start-time.

The FSQ106 was the old Fluorite type from the late 1990s. The Atlas is the way to go when it comes to using the FSQ.

Richard, like all three posts, but the center dusty area on this one is particularly nice. Making good use of your limited time -cool. Marc

Hey thanks Trevor. I've really not spent much time doing RGB and this is one of those that's been on my list for some time.I finally decided to give it a try what with the moonless sky and having some time off from work. I've not been very productive this year due to a lot of international travel for work. In fact i've been on the road in asia for 8 of the past 12 weeks and in the US for one of those 12 weeks too. Not much time for imaging and it seems like when I am back it is bad sky conditions.

Well done Crisp, I have been trying to hit this object for some time. Good job bringing out the dark dust and light elements in this image.
