Here it is again. I was able to pull of the faint "trails" out of NGC5195. I also went with Daves suggestion to add more saturation. You can tell the difference when using the IDAS LP filter vs the CLS LP clip, the CLS clip chewed up the blue. This years image (taken with the IDAS filter) was much easier to color balance and the data was more user friendly.

Very nice shot Steve
Ya, mine looks very much like your last year image. I ordered one so now we wait for the for the guy in brown or green to bring it to me.
I don't have any documentation comparing the two filters but I have read on CN that the CLS clip, while very good with Ha, is not very good with galaxies in that it cuts down the blue. Here is an image from last year:
This was taken with the CLS clip and I put in close to 6 hours in it. I have reprocessed it using the work flow that I use now and this is the beast I can come up with.
Sweet job!
Steve, your comment about the difference between the CLS and the IDAS LP are interesting. I recently shot M51 with the CLS clip and have been attempting to pocess it for weeks. My colors are flat with almost no blue or yellow. Considering I have almost 5 hours of time @ F2 and a XSi I figured I should be getting more color than did. I was beginning to wonder if I needed to try it again @ F6.3 to see if the washed out colors were Hyperstar related but your comment has me thinking along different lines.
Very nice image by the way. Great dust lane detail and of course, colors. :)
Well done Steve. Love the color and all the hitchhikers, nice image.
