Guiding with SV70ED and Orion Star Shoot Autoguider

Not a great shot but the first time I have been out shooting in months. Moon and neighbor's floodlight be damned!

Just so happened to be in my 'window'. Trying out the new software and equip configuration.

No worries. Thanks for taking a look. I've heard the debates regarding mono v. color, I appreciate your opinion.

I hear you on the guidescope too. Did not realize what itwas doing to my resolution, but makes sense. Was planning on moving away from seperate guider in favor of the internal, but my reasoning was different. Weight. I just started playing with an old 8" f4 reflector that I was trying to fix up. That scope with a guide scope is really taxing my little mount. Moved away from the internal before because was capturing with CCDOps, and was not terribly fun to go that route. Have Maxim now, and hoping will be easier...now just need some clear skies to test it all out.

Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks guys...actually, my little yard is surrounded by 6' white vinyl fencing. So I am pretty protected...problem is, I start shooting an object as it clears my back neighbor's roof. The issues begins with the other neighbor's flood light reflecting off the first one's front wall. *sigh* I should just stop being lazy and drive to a dark site, island is full of 'em....Thanks for taking a look. More just experimenting that anything else. Just dying to shoot something!

T you got out, great. Neighbors lights- have you tried clothes lines and tarps. In the winter (no leaves) my tele. area looks like a shanty town, my wife loves the look haha. Cool shot. Marc
