The step ladder is pretty stable as long as someone is steadying it. If you have Vertigo don't attempt viewing from it.

Our local Society had a 30" F6, it was a nightmare to use, needed a 15 foot long step ladder to reach 45 degrees elevation... it was sold to somewhere in Bulgaria, now we have a 30" F3 in the club instead.
