Thanks - nope, just using the zoom feature on the Canon EOS Utility program and doing it by hand. Last night was particularly challenging because I started out trying to get the Cat's Eye Nebula while it was very close to the meridian and the camera ran into the leg of my tripod, and when I tried to manuever it away by hand I ended up loosening the focusing draw tube and didn't have a hex-key with me to re-tighen it. I had to move the focusing tube manually and then use the lock mechanism when I achieved a good focus. Took about 45 min and I almost threw in the towel but it was such a clear night I didn't want to waste it and so kept at it until I got a focus. Was glad I did because the focus held and I managed to bag 5 DSOs.
