I shot this from the cover of my garage. The rain was just spitting enough to get on the lens

Hi William, Thanks I am glad you like the shot. I am lucky in the sense that I have a 20' x 17' patio in the back that is sunken into the house which offers great coverage from the rain unless of course there is a lot of wind. In the front of the house is the garage which offers cover too. The Window you built sound interesting and a great idea too.
There have been many times I wished I had a waterproof hood. Like you our storms come in from the east but my house faces south. Good luck with imaging some lightning. All the best, Phil

Nice shot, I really like but have not had the chance to practice the art of these captures, I have had a special window built that I can open anytime during an approaching micro cell here in NICARAGUA facing the EAST which is where the approach during rain season, just waiting for a chance, good work!
