Thanks Conor, Sun was very busy last week. I love to do solar observing myself. Like you said we seem to get far more clear days than nights. I used to try more solar imaging when I still had a working 2U cam.

Nice cap of the monster 1439! Man, that was one active region! I might start with solar photography. We get more clear days than nights here...

Thanks Trevor. Just a Baader film solar filter, and I actually had the scope stopped down to 50mm. It is also the first time I have been able to get any surface detail other than sunspots while shooting with a DSLR. Can just be seen above the 1431 note on the full view. Man I wish I had an H-Alpa right now!
