Thanks again Trevor, Philip and Marc. That Ha filter is fun! I was outside finishing Rosette imaging by the light of a near full moon. VIVA LA DSLR!!!! (except in the summer when it is blistering hot outside)...

It is a bear...but I think I got. I just got pissed, started out from the beginning AND DID IT. This "final" image has the stars lined up nicely. It may be time to invest in software that will align stars effeciently, for some reason I'll be able to reproduce these results with other images and some I struggle with. Anyway here is the latest

Stacking misaligned images is a bear with PS. All my stacking is done in Maxim. Even the little wussy version that comes with the lower end Orion ccds works pretty well. Allows you to select stars as points of reference and it does all the heavy lifting for you. Registax might help too, but I don't use it but I know many on here do.

Thanks for all of your kind comments. I am brand spankin' new at Ha RGB processing. I am having a heck of a time aligning stars correctly. I've been using the Auto Align mode in PS and still cannot get the stars to perfectly align. I'd like to know how it's done. I use DSS for the Ha data and RGB data then I've been trying to stack these two images in PSCS5. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.

Well done, I like the detail in the Beta H areas around the HH. The ripples on either side, well done. How did you keep Altinak from dominating the image?
