This is an image of NGC7635 (The Bubble Nebula) and open cluster M52. The Bubble Nebula is an emission nebula about 11,000 light years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. It lies close to the open cluster Messier 52. The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot, young central star, SAO 20575.

Well done my friend!

I had to stretch to bring out the bubble, but be careful not to blow out the cluster. I had to select just the stars of the cluster and then use curves to LOWER the intensity to back off some from the stretching I did for the bubble.

Tricky? How so, and how did you resolve?

Trevor,

Thanks. The processing was tricky and I am glad it was worth it.
