Wow a thimble! I'm still trying to cover the gead of a pin. The 30 second images I took were much cleaner but less detailed. I was trying to stack 3 of them in registax6 and it woundn't stack right. I havn't given up yet.

Same here - What I know can be put in a thimble with room to spare.
If you can grab a bunch of even 30 second frames without guiding and stack then I think you'll be surprised at how much you'll get.

Thanks Russ, Stock camera. next clear night I'll get the camera indexed where I want it and get some darks to subtract, and I should have the guide scope and dew control set up soon and better polar alignment. I'm always open to constructive criticism and tips. I'm quite the newbie.

Not bad for a single image shot David. It's those stacks of 20 or more that clean up the noise you're seeing. Is your camera modded or stock?
