Dome Paint
Being in an urban area stray light is a problem. My dome acts like a concave parabolic reflector and focuses light to the center of the POD where it does the most damage both for imaging and for taking pics.
So, I painted the inside dome only. This leaves the south (Outer) dome opaque to light and keeps the ambient temperature of my POD dry and hot. When open the black portion does not conduct stray light nearly as effectively as the light colored dome does.

Hi, Derek, I washed the area to be painted in soapy water, rinsed good, then applied KRYLON flat black

Well ! I never thought of that problem! Glad I read your post! What paint worked best for the dome surface? Did you have to prep the surface to remove any residual chemicals from the molding of the panels?
