Anyone ever heard of this combination? Would it work?

I might upgrade my autoguider by getting a quality celestron spotting scope.
I guess the only real issue aside from attaching it to the scope is whether is has enough focus travel to accomodate the guider. Primarily designed for terrestrial work...
yeah that would be the issue. Also, is it wise to have a guider that's slower than your primary?
I don't think it it really matters...just as long as you are able to 'find' a guide star. Longer focal lengths will yeild smaller fov and dimmer stars. May be harder to pick up a guide star.
I like the guys who are guiding w/an AT66 or 70. That way you get best of both worlds, guide scope or widefield imaging scope. Smart move boys. Marc
