crafstmanship is better than SBIG, it feels solid, and well designed. It was this vs. FLI, I chose this becuase of the off axis deal built in.

Best thing about the telescope store, is the makeup sex... :)

Oh, there probably is, but upgrades like that are always expensive, and I'm already deeply in the red on astronomy purchases (at least in terms of SPUs - "spousal permission units").

they don't have an 8 wheel add on for the 583?

Very nice! I bought my 583 before the 600 series was announced and I got the 5-filter wheel, which means that I'm always switching out filters between the LRGB set for dark skies and the narrowband set for the home observatory. I really need to get a 2nd filter wheel, but even that is a bother compared to having all the filters available all the time.

683 WSG-8-c 1.25" filters. I've got a set of baader 1.25 filters and so I'll load it up with them plus OIII, S11, Ha filters and a light pollution filter.

Congratulations, Charles, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. There are a half dozen or so QSI users in our little astro community here and I don't think there have been any significant problems.

Which model did you get?
