Got the rubber flooring down, the electricty coming up from under the deck, and am just waiting for the plate adapter coming tomorrow. Need a longer firewire or extension to set up the remote USB hub but other than that I'm ready to set up and roll.
i published an ebook about amateur observatories in Belgium and the Netherlands www.dekoepel.nl/sterrenkijker/ebook-sterrenwachten.pdf
it is in Dutch, but you can look at the pictures :-)
Stoked!!! Drift aligned, star held nicely for quite some time, like half an hour. Locked the plate in. Played with the focuser more and that thing is awesome. Tomorrow I'll be aligning and figuring out tpoint or the maxim equivalent and then I'll be a telescoped again. Can't wait to get my first shot.

lol thanks Mark. My skies aren't great but my view is. The ocean is due south, and I can see due north and everything in between. only impediment is my single story house so I typically follow objects from the eastern horizon until a few degrees after the meridian. If I had good dark skies this would be telescope heaven.
