Yes I use the SLT tripod but I am not able to use it's features very properly.

Yes this chromatic aberration is very frustrating. But I took the above image in raw format which gave me some 4k resolution and than I scaled it down to what it is now... so i think those aberration pixels are compressed to smaller size which is not very clearly seen.

I hope to buy a better telescope in near future. :)

Nice! How do like the 102 SLT? Do you also use the SLT mount/tripod setup? I was steered away from the 102 and refractors in general but in your shot here, I don't notice any chromatic aberration.

Thanks Phillip... I read a very interesting fact about the colors of the moon...

The different colors show the differences in the chemical makeup - blue hues reveal titanium rich areas while orange and brown colors show iron areas.
