This is a Ha image of the Pelican Nebula as shot by Scott Johnson using an AG Optical Systems 12.5" Newtonian astrograph. The image is composed of only 21 x 10 min images shot using a STL11000. A guidescope was used to guide the images and the scope tracked for over 4 hours and required no refocusing. Interestingly, the telescope tracked through the meridian with the camera initially being on the ground side of the telescope but winding up on the sky side 60 degrees later when the imaging run was completed.
